Things you absolutely have to know prior to registering for an online course.

  • You must use the online registration process to register for a course before you will be given access to course material.

  • Within 72 hours of registration, you will recieve an email with COURSE INSTRUCTIONS and an additional PASSWORD (if appropriate for the course).

  • You must have the latest version of ADOBE READER installed on your computer. This free software can be downloaded from www.adobe.com

Signing Up
  • Where can I find a quick summary of the courses available at this time

  • When you login to the TLS Campus, a summary of all available courses will be graphically displayed.
  • How do I get approved to take a course?

  • Talk to your supervisor.
  • How do I know what I'm supposed to do for a particular course?

  • You will be sent a course instruction page via email after your registration is approved.
Logging In
  • How do I login to the TLS Campus?

  • From the TLS Campus "Home Page" simply click on Staff Login. This will take you to a subsequent page where you will be prompted to Login Now. Enter your username (your PFM email address) followed by the default password. Please contact Phil Good @ 703-554-8534 to obtain this password via email.
  • How many places will I have to log into when using the internet campus?

  • Depending on the course, you may be required to login up to three times. You will have to create a password to use the TLS site and you will need to login and create a password to view the online videos. If the course requires that you take an online assessment, you will need to login one more time. We hope to have the new Learning Management System available later this year which will streamline the login requirements.
  • When I attempt to login to view the course video, a message tells me my "POP Up Blocker" is on and that it must be turned off prior to watching the video. How do I turn it off?

  • At the upper right corner of your browser window there is a tab marked "Tools". Click on "Tools" and slide down to "Pop-up Blocker" and over to "Turn off Pop-up Blocker". If this does not resolve your problem, call Phil Good at 703-554-8534 or send him an email.
Taking The Courses
  • What is the "Tree" page?

  • The "Tree" page is a course specific page that allows you to gain access to course support material and video. The link to this "course specific" page will be sent to you by TLS after you register for a course.
  • What do the icons mean on the buttons at the bottom of the "Tree Page"?

  • Each button gives access to specific course support material including video segments, self assessments, resource links, podcasts and course evaluations.Try the buttons at the bottom of this page for more information.
  • Will I get a certificate of completion for each course I take?

  • Yes, once all the course requirements are completed and you have submitted all required coursework, you will receive a certificate.
